On hot summer days, swimmers flock to the Babine's warm, shallow spots, such as Red Bluff Park and Lion's Beach.

Residents and visitors explore Babine Lake by canoe, motor boat, kayak, houseboat and sailboat - all of which are welcome at several local mooring facilities.

Babine Lake is celebrated by summer events, such as the Father's Day and Babine Lodge fishing derbies, the Tachet Fish Fest, Granisle Days and Sockeye Days. In one not-to-be-missed event, known as the H20 Drags, drivers race their snowmobiles - on water!
