Driftwood Canyon Provincial Park is a great day adventure and is renowned for its ancient fossil beds. Hikers can see millions of years of history in the making in what used to be a shallow ocean.
Scenic walking trails are provided at Red Bluff Provincial Park and these allow you to enjoy spectacular views of the lake and wildlife. Black bear and moose are abundant in this area and varied waterfowl, including the elusive Sora Rail, inhabit the lake and marshes.
The Fulton River flows into Babine Lake just north of Topley Landing. An easy hike upstream takes you to Millionaires Pool, below beautiful Fulton Falls.
