ADVENTURES & ACTIVITIES

Granisle is your year-round vacation destination for water recreation and wilderness adventure. Nestled between the western shores of Babine Lake, B.C. longest lake, Granisle is the perfect location for water activities such as boating and fishing for rainbow trout, char, kokanee, burot, salmon and steelhead. Granisle is also home of the largest salmon run in the world. Because of this, wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled to explore our area looking for moose, eagles and bears.

Other favourite pass-times include skiing, hunting, bird watching, camping, hiking and golf.

Red Bluff Provincial Park near Granisle is popular with anglers and boaters. Due to the southern exposure, the water is warm enough for swimming. Granisle is the outdoor recreation centre for Babine Lake with a large well maintained marina. There is ample parking, boat launching and a dock all in excellent condition.

A few miles south is the famous Fulton River where the Department of Fisheries has spawning beds for salmon, which are hatched each year and transferred to Babine Lake for eventual travel up the Skeena River system to the ocean.
